City of Hattiesburg, in which a court clerk was “terminated and reassigned [emphasis added] after being accused of hiding paperwork, shredding documents, accepting bribes in exchange for dismissing tickets, fines, and warrants, and engaging in inappropriate contact with judges.” Terminated? Sure. Reassigned? I’m going to need to remember that one for future use in my frequent out-of-office email replies. Has a much nicer ring to it than my usual, “remanded to custody.”
