- And Finally, Conan the Librarian is brought to us by Engage Armament LLC v. Montgomery County, in which a gun shop objected to a new ordinance requiring a 100-yard minimum distance between gun shops and certain public facilities, as the gun shop averred that it, “arguably operated a private library.” What’s a private library? No idea, but we (arguably) encourage you to speculate. One thing we can all agree on, is that private gun shop libraries inarguably have better late-fee enforcement mechanisms on hand than does your standard-issue biblioteca.
